In order to provide you with the highest quality of care, we operate under a direct payment model that avoids the limitations of insurance. This allows us to prioritize individualized care with longer appointment times, and direct access to your providers. 

Our commitment to you is to make our fee structure clear and transparent: 

  • We will provide an estimate of fees at the beginning of your care, and provide an invoice after you give listing the diagnosis and the services provided, which you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement if you have out-of-network benefits. 

  • You can use your insurance to cover the cost of labs, formal ultrasounds, and birth center or hospital-related fees.

Financial FAQs

  • No, we do not accept insurance. This allows us to provide you with the best care possible.

    • Initial  Prenatal Visit - 90 Minutes
      Includes comprehensive history, physical exam, bedside ultrasound, discussion of genetic screening options, and orders for all routine prenatal labs.

    • 13-15 Prenatal Visits - 45 Minutes
      Includes routine testing and bedside ultrasound as indicated.

    • Attentive care during labor and birth

    • Comprehensive postpartum care, including a home visit

  • Birth Story Obstetrics will provide you with a detailed invoice that you may submit to your insurance provider. Reimbursement depends on your out-of-network benefits.

  • Yes! We work with you to structure your payments over a period of time that works for you.

  • All labs, formal ultrasounds, hospital and birth center facility and service fees will be billed directly to your insurance.

  • Yes! All of our services are designated as qualified medical expenses.
