At Birth Story Obstetrics, we co-create your story from beginning to birth, providing exceptional prenatal, delivery, and postpartum care with an emphasis on empowering you, our patient, from the moment we meet. Our practice was founded on the belief that each patient deserves to feel educated and confident throughout their journey, so they can realize the full transformative potential of the birth experience.
We are one of the only practices in the country where your care truly follows you, wherever your story leads. Dr. Anna Dowling, MD, and licensed midwife Beth Arcese, LM, work in lockstep to offer seamless, continuous care across hospital and community birth settings. Together, they ensure that a trusted team stays by your side throughout your pregnancy, providing the excellent care and consistency you deserve.
Our practice is evidence-based, trauma-informed and gender-inclusive; we aim to make each and every patient and their family feel valued, respected, and at ease. We focus on caring for a limited number of families in order to provide ample time for in depth and intentional care.
Deliveries are supported at St. Joseph Medical Center in Bellingham, the Bellingham Birth Center, and in select home settings, depending on each patient’s needs and clinical circumstances. We also coordinate referrals for pediatric and primary care to ensure a seamless transition for your new baby.
