Beth Arcese, LM, MA
“Birth is transformative for every parent and every baby. What I love about this practice is that we’re able to walk alongside families through that transformation, providing safety, wisdom, and compassion, wherever their story unfolds.”
Beth Arcese is a licensed midwife devoted to providing compassionate, respectful, and evidence-based care that honors every family’s unique birth story. A mother of three, she understands how deeply birth shapes who we are as parents, as individuals, and as communities and strives to ensure her patients feel informed, supported, and empowered.
Beth has been part of the Bellingham community since 1996, when she came to study at Western Washington University. After discovering her calling to midwifery, she earned her Washington State license in 2012 and has since cared for families through her practice at Salish Sea Midwifery, the Bellingham Birth Center, and home births across the region.
In 2017, she completed her Master’s in Maternal Child Health Systems at Bastyr University, focusing on improving outcomes and equity in maternity care. She has served on the Board of the Midwives Association of Washington State and as adjunct faculty at Bastyr University’s Midwifery Department.
Beth believes midwifery is both an art and a science; a sacred partnership built on trust, continuity, and respect.
Outside of her work, Beth loves exploring nature, reading, listening to great music, and spending time with her three children, friends, and family.
